When I started working on this painting, I was beginning to explore a new style of mark-making. The process of getting to this point was one marked by many attempts to try something different.

I was craving a style to really linger on—something to explore on a deeper level.

This work felt like a breakthrough moment for me as I began adding layer after layer, color after color, to my canvas. Soon, the artwork began to take on a fabric-like texture and I was hooked on the effect.

Like a weaver painstakingly crafting a tapestry, I enjoyed how each mark wove depth and meaning into the canvas.

In Worth the Wait each brushstroke is a prayer, each layer a testament to the passage of time and the seasoning of ideas.
