The marks on this canvas remind me of writing. It’s as if prayers, letters, or hopeful songs are embedded within the material. Making this piece was a fun and relaxing process – it literally came together all at once in a single afternoon. I was tempted to mess with it–to add more marks–but it begged to be left alone, and I’m so glad I did.
