A Smile I Can Keep is a nod to all the simple, silly little things that make a relationship unique and special; a familiar kind of smile or an inside joke. I came across the name for this painting when I was listening to “You Make My World Go Round” by Natalie Bergman, a song about lasting love that I thought shared a similar sentiment to this warm and romantic composition.
